I am not sure where that quote came from when I began to write today about this past year that quote was the first thought that popped into my mind. This year we have been refocusing, rediscovering, re-educating what we want to do with our business. I would recommend a company does this every six months or at least once a year.
We started our business in 2010, with a vision to help small business owners and entrepreneurs find success in their business. How? By us taking the busyness out of your business so you can get back to what you love.
Over the years we have had the honor of serving many different clients. We have learned a lot on this journey from our clients in identifying their wants and needs and as a virtual assistant how we could serve them. It wasn’t about just doing the work they needed. It was about developing a relationship, it was about educating our clients. It was about us discovering our worth just as our clients did.
Since 2010 our goals have evolved and shifted, just as our client’s businesses have shifted. We are still relational, we still want who we serve to receive the highest quality of work, and our success is dependent on their success. Through the years we have continued to better ourselves, taken courses, gained certifications, became coaches, written books and became speakers. That I believe that is what separates us from our competitors. We can not continue to use the same knowledge we had in 2010 and have success in 2017. The way people do business is always evolving. Look at Amazon and you will see the evolution of a business.
The Fat Lady, Really…
As we move into 2018, we found out where that quote came from thank goodness. It could be rather offending. In all seriousness we have discovered we need invest more time in our actual business in order to gain more business, we need to be educating more, speaking more even when it stretches us, attend more events, gain exposure and visibility. Work with like-minded individuals that will continue to grow our business which will build our tribe, our sphere of influence, and deliver products and services that accelerate our clients into growing their business and revenue.
